About School Counselling and Sandplay

School Counselling and Sandplays are published twice a year as the Academic journal of the Korean School Public Sandplay Association. Research papers, materials and editorials in the field of school counseling and sand play can be published. Also, Publish presentations at the official academic meetings of the Korean School Public Sand Play Association, and a list of M.A. theses and Ph.D. dissertation in this area can be published.

This study investigated the extent to which evidence-based psychotherapy is being implemented in actual counseling settings amidst growing interest in such approaches to bridge the gap between the increasing prevalence of mental health issues among children and adolescents and the low utilization rate of mental health services. This study aimed to verify the clinical effects of Sandplay Therapy (SPT) on depression, anxiety, and aggression in high school students who exhibit suicidal behaviors such as suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, and self-injury, using MMPI-2. Between 2023 and 2024, 15 sessions of SPT were conducted on 23 high school students who experienced suicidal incidents in high schools located in Chungcheongnam-do.
